Singing Sunday
Singing is a form of worship that is often mentioned in the Bible. In fact, singing is mentioned over 150 times in the Bible, and it is clear that God desires His people to sing praises to Him.
One of the most well-known verses about singing in the Bible is Psalm 96:1, which says, "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth." This verse reminds us that we should always be singing new songs of praise to God, not just repeating the same old songs.
In Colossians 3:16, it says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." This verse teaches us that singing is a way to prepare and encourage one another and that we should always sing with gratitude in our hearts to God.
Another critical verse about singing in the Bible is found in Ephe-sians 5:19, which says, "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord." This verse reminds us that singing is not just for church services but for all aspects of our lives. We should make music in our hearts to the Lord at all times.
The Bible teaches us that singing is a powerful form of worship. It is a way to express our love and gratitude to God, to teach and encourage one another, and to make music in our hearts to the Lord at all times. May we all sing to the Lord with joy and grati-tude in our hearts.
