Michael Lane and his family began laboring with the saints at Freetown Road in December 2019.
Raised in Killeen, Texas, it wasn't until adulthood that he encountered the Gospel. After a year of study with elders, preachers, and his wife's family, Mike was baptized and added to the Lord's church by Rick Brumback at the Southwest church of Christ in Austin, Texas.
After graduating from the Southwest School of Bible Studies with a degree in the Scriptures, Mike began preaching for congregations in Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
Mike enjoys proclaiming the truth of God's Word and helping others. He Insists that a minister is more than someone who stands in the pulpit, a minister is also a servant, a counselor, and much more. It requires devotion, time, and sacrifice.
Mike was married to Rachel Lane (formerly Williams) in November 2005. Together, they have taught various classes, participated in evangelistic campaigns, and in-home Bible studies. They have two children.
"For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the LORD and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel" (Ezra 7:10).
